Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 in 1970) is an American actress who is best known for portraying detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter respectively on NBC's Providence drama as well as The Resident's medical drama The Resident. Additionally, she earned high praise for her first television part in Guiding Light on CBS as Eleni Cooper. She was also a part of 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. The Wheel of Life, written by Elisabeth Kubler Ross and adapted into a feature film by Vlas Parlapanides (the duo who came up with the Immortals) is thought to be in the works. The actress is also working on a new series called Gods & Heroes.
