Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics instructor who was later Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci when she was just six years old. Comaneci competed for the first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. In the following year, she was crowned champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by the communist bloc nations. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female to do a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the entertainment business began during her teens when she began skating figure alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
