April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July. She began guitar and piano lessons at age seven. She was interested in writing songs was ignited. April Lockhart composed her first single"Different" at 12 years old. When she was 14 April was devoted for a long period of her time writing song ideas and practicing her music. After that, she started taking excursions to write with her father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization issues, or even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart collaborates with famous clean beauty brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle influencer with a huge following of her own. Born without a left hand, she is a major part of herself. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on her Instagram account, but she isn't making it the focal point of her story. What message is it sending? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our identities and physical self aren't as appear. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she does not want to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't want to be a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are many aspects of Lockhart. It doesn't impact my day-to-day life. I still do all the normal things and have adapted to my disabilities. It's an integral part of my life, therefore it's important to discuss it. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that can last an entire lifetime. She can be a role model for this purpose. Yet, she confesses to going through periods when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance, and the clothes with arms. She now wears whatever she wants. She also posts her pictures to social media. The journey itself is the key thing I'm not certain that will ever be the end about self-love. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity. It's important to have people in your life who know and understand your situation. They'll be the ones who ask what you fret about?
