My baby crawled around in a playpen while I sat for 12 hours, sanding the floor and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but wasn't quite finished. The house would need an enormous amount of work and a love for shopping. To stay within budget, I began by taking my sons to estate sales in search of diamonds. There were open houses at my house which saw over 1 000 guests came through on one weekend, and buy anything they saw on the ground floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Not only was my business expanding, but so was our family of four. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to be a mom and a successful business owner. Growing Days was the obvious option. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. Although I was happy about the direction my company went, I was feeling like I was in need of some time off. I decided to quit building my old furniture for a while and spend time with my kids. That was exactly what i wanted. In the course of a few months, my phone started to start to. Many people called me to ask for advice on home improvement and decorating. The majority of them were those who had walked through my home during the open house for furniture! After a while I started taking on clients according to my schedule. Before long I had numerous accounts as well as a home renovations company. When you first told me about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's true that I smile when I think about it.
