Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office has earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category and she also received two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Her mother, Anne, was a performer in church theater when she was young and instilled a passion for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was a child and was able to instill a love for theater and performing.
Fischer is an actor with the theater background. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons for Being Happy. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey launched an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling in the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first book, which details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actress professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her most beloved friend and her experience at The Office.
