Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office brought her an Emmy nod for the Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. She also was awarded two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Her family was based in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. This instilled in her a passion for theater.
She's an actress trained who returned to the stage after The Office. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.

The podcast became extremely popular, and was ranked in the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloads during its first 2 years. She is the author of two books: The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide, in which she recounts her experience from St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actor, as well as the upcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) The book is the story of their greatest friendship as well as their work on The Office.
