Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales & the short lived NBC show of the same name; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native CalifornianSwanson developed an interest in acting as a child. Her career began acting in commercials as an actress. Her first appearance on screen in 1984 in an NBCs It's Your Move show. The actress made her debut on the big screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan, known for her stunning voice and a blonde hairdo, has played side roles in the last couple of years. In 1989 she won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
